Limited Edition Fine Art Prints
Ribbon is a photographic study of transformation, restraint and release.
Beginning with ribbons gathered loosely around the figure, the series progresses as they slowly climb, surround and ultimately envelop the body. What begins as something delicate and decorative gradually becomes something more ambiguous — at once protective, restrictive and transformative.
A select group of photographs from the Ribbon Series, created in collaboration with Jayban, is now available as signed and numbered limited-edition fine art prints.
Each photograph is being released in three strictly limited editions.

Each size constitutes its own edition.
Once all ten numbered prints in a particular size have been sold, that edition will be permanently closed and no additional numbered prints of that image will be produced in that size.
The two Artist Proofs (AP) for each edition are reserved separately from the numbered edition.
The Print
Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta
Each Ribbon Series print is produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, a 315 gsm, 100% cotton fine-art paper created specifically for archival photographic and fine-art reproduction.
Photo Rag Baryta combines the tactile character of traditional cotton artist paper with a premium baryta inkjet coating inspired by traditional fibre-based photographic papers.
Its gently textured natural-white surface produces exceptional detail, rich colour, deep blacks and strong tonal contrast while maintaining an elegant sheen rather than the appearance of a conventional glossy photographic print.
The paper contains no optical brighteners and is acid- and lignin-free, making it particularly suited to archival fine-art printing and long-term display.
For the Ribbon Series, the combination is especially important: the paper allows the subtle texture of skin and fabric to remain visible while preserving the density of the shadows, saturation of the ribbons and fine tonal transitions throughout the photographs.
Printed in Toronto
Every edition is professionally produced in Toronto by Toronto Image Works.
The final prints are individually inspected before being signed, numbered and released.
This is not an open-edition reproduction. Each print forms part of a documented fine-art edition.

Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity
The Certificate of Authenticity records the photograph, print dimensions, edition number, printing medium and edition details, creating a permanent record connecting the physical print with its limited edition.

Each photograph is offered in three sizes based upon its original aspect ratio. This preserves the intended composition of the artwork without cropping the image simply to conform to a standardized print dimension.

An intimate presentation that works particularly well in residential spaces and smaller collections while retaining the detail and presence of the original photograph.
Medium Edition

Edition of 10 + 2 AP — $750 CAD
A larger presentation that gives the figure and ribbons significantly more presence while remaining easy to integrate into residential or gallery environments.
Large Edition

The largest edition offered for the series. At this scale, the relationship between the figure, ribbon, texture and negative space becomes considerably more immersive, creating a statement piece intended to command the room.
Shipping & Presentation
Prints are sold unframed, allowing collectors to choose framing appropriate to their space and collection.
Each print can be shipped using one of two methods:
Flat Shipping
The print is carefully packaged flat with protective archival materials and rigid exterior protection.
Flat shipping is recommended for collectors who prefer the print to arrive without having been rolled, particularly when it will be delivered directly to a framer.
Rolled Shipping
The print is carefully protected and shipped in a heavy-duty mailing tube.
Rolled shipping provides a more economical option, particularly for the larger 24 × 30 and 32 × 40 editions and for international orders.
Shipping charges are calculated separately and depend on print size, destination and the purchaser's choice of flat or rolled shipping.
Local pickup in Toronto may also be arranged.

Only select photographs from the Ribbon Series will be offered as limited-edition prints.

The edition structure and pricing are identical regardless of the photograph's aspect ratio.
An edition selling out at one size does not affect the availability of the other sizes.
Edition numbers are assigned sequentially as prints are sold.
Once an edition is sold out, it will not be reissued in that size.

The opening image of the Ribbon Series, capturing the moment before the binding begins. Ribbons are gathered loosely around the figure, establishing the delicate and decorative starting point of this photographic study of transformation. II—The First Thread

The second stage of the Ribbon Series, where the first thread begins to climb and encircle the body. This square-format composition (1:1 aspect ratio) captures the subtle progression toward transformation. The figure's relationship with the ribbon deepens as restraint and movement emerge. Offered in three sizes, each an independent edition of 10 numbered prints with 2 Artist Proofs.
III — Becoming Bound

The series deepens as the figure becomes increasingly bound by the ribbons. This stage captures the ambiguous moment where the protective and restrictive qualities of the material become equally present. The composition progresses toward full envelopment, blurring the line between decoration and transformation. Three independent editions offer formats suited to various display spaces.
IV — Entanglement

The fourth image presents complete entanglement, where the ribbons have fully enveloped the figure in a complex web of material and restraint. The square-format composition emphasizes the relationship between body and binding at its most intricate. The subtle texture of skin and fabric remains visible against the rich saturation of the ribbons, creating a statement piece about transformation and containment.
V — Yielding

The concluding image of the Ribbon Series, where yielding becomes the dominant theme. The figure, fully surrounded by ribbons, demonstrates acceptance and transformation. This final stage completes the visual narrative that began with loose ribbons and progresses through binding and entanglement to ultimate surrender. Available in three independent editions that preserve the original 4:5 aspect ratio composition.
